Edluar Drug Interactions

If you combine alcohol, protease inhibitors, or certain antibiotics with Edluar, drug interactions may occur. These reactions could lead to side effects such as extreme drowsiness, confusion, or bizarre behavior. Some medications may also affect the blood level of the sleep aid. In order to help prevent interactions, tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are taking.

Edluar Interactions: An Overview

Edluar™ (zolpidem sublingual tablet) can potentially interact with a number of other medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to drug interactions with Edluar include (but are not limited to):
 
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Many antibiotics and antifungal medications, such as:
 
    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Fluconazole (Diflucan®)
    • Isoniazid
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Posaconazole (Noxafil®)
    • Rifabutin (Mycobutin®)
    • Rifampin (Rifadin®)
    • Rifapentine (Priftin®)
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®)
    • Voriconazole (Vfend®)
 
  • Other medications that cause drowsiness, such as:
 
 
  • Protease inhibitors, such as:
