Sleep Home > Triazolam Tablets

Available in the form of a tablet, triazolam (Halcion®) is a prescription drug used to treat insomnia. It is specifically approved for short-term use. As a benzodiazepine, it works by enhancing the effects of a chemical within the brain, helping to reduce anxiety, cause sleepiness, and relax muscles.

Triazolam works quickly, so take it just before you fall asleep. Taking these tablets at higher doses or for longer than your healthcare provider recommends can lead to serious problems. If you have a personal history of drug or alcohol abuse, make sure your healthcare provider has this information before you start taking this drug.
