Methylphenidate and Alcohol (Cont.)

Methylphenidate and Alcohol: A Summary

Although there are no specific interactions between methylphenidate and alcohol, it is a good idea to avoid alcohol until you know how the drug will affect you. Combining the two might affect your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. Also, it is usually not a good idea to take methylphenidate if you have a history of drug or alcohol abuse. Make sure to talk with your healthcare provider about the use of alcohol and methylphenidate in your particular situation.
