Narcolepcy

Narcolepsy is a sleep disorder in which REM sleep appears at an abnormal time. This condition causes people to involuntarily fall asleep at sporadic times throughout the day, such as while at work or at school, during a conversation, or while eating a meal. In addition to experiencing daytime drowsiness and involuntary sleep episodes, most people also experience frequent awakenings during nighttime sleep. Narcolepsy treatment typically involves taking certain medications and making lifestyle changes.
