ProSom Interactions Explained

The following sections explain in detail the potentially negative interactions that can occur when ProSom is combined with any of the drugs listed above.
 
Alcoholic Beverages
Drinking alcoholic beverages while you are taking ProSom can increase your risk of side effects, such as confusion, drowsiness, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may also occur. It is best to avoid alcohol while taking the drug (see ProSom and Alcohol).
 
Antidepressant Medications
Combining an antidepressant with ProSom can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Ask your healthcare provider about taking ProSom with antidepressants.
 
Antipsychotic Medications
Taking an antipsychotic medication with ProSom can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may also occur. Make sure to talk to your healthcare provider before combining ProSom with an antipsychotic medication.
 
Barbiturates
Combining a barbiturate with ProSom can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may also occur. Make sure to talk to your healthcare provider before taking ProSom with a barbiturate.
 
Narcotics or Opiates
Taking an opiate or narcotic with ProSom can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may also occur. Make sure to talk to your healthcare provider before combining ProSom with an opiate or narcotic.
