Drug Interactions With Quazepam

Certain medicines may cause drug interactions with quazepam, including antipsychotic medications, other benzodiazepines or sleep medications, and antidepressants. These drug interactions can lead to potentially serious side effects, such as confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. To reduce the risk of developing drug interactions with quazepam, tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are currently taking.

Drug Interactions With Quazepam: An Overview

Quazepam (Doral®) can potentially interact with several other medications, particularly those that affect the brain. Some of the drugs that may lead to interactions with quazepam include:
 
  • Alcoholic beverages
 
 
o Clozapine (Clozaril®, FazaClo®)
  • Barbiturates, such as:
o Amobarbital (Amytal®)
o Butalbital (Fioricet®, Fiorinal®)
o Pentobarbital (Nembutal®)
o Phenobarbital (Luminal®)
o Secobarbital (Seconal®)
 
  • Other benzodiazepines, such as:
  • Other sleep medications
