Temazepam (Restoril®) is a prescription medicine used for treating insomnia. It is approved for short-term use only and should not be taken for longer than 7 to 10 days. By enhancing the effects of a certain brain chemical, the medication can help cause drowsiness, relax muscles, and reduce anxiety.
