Cimetidine (Tagamet)
Cimetidine can increase the level of Versed in your blood or may increase the time it takes for your body to remove Versed from the blood. Make sure your healthcare provider or anesthesiologist is aware that you are taking cimetidine before using Versed.
 
Diltiazem (Cardizem, Cartia XT, Dilacor XR, Dilt-CD, Diltia XT, Dilt-XR, Taztia XT, Tiazac)
Diltiazem can increase the level of Versed in your blood or may increase the time it takes for your body to remove Versed from the blood. Make sure your healthcare provider or anesthesiologist is aware that you are taking diltiazem before using Versed.
 
Narcotics or Opiates
Combining an opiate or narcotic with Versed can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may occur. Make sure your healthcare provider or anesthesiologist is aware that you are taking narcotics or opiates before using Versed.
 
Other Benzodiazepines
Combining Versed with other benzodiazepines can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may occur. Make sure your healthcare provider or anesthesiologist is aware that you are taking another benzodiazepine before using Versed.
 
Seizure Medications
Combining a seizure medication with Versed can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may occur. Make sure your healthcare provider or anesthesiologist is aware that you are taking a seizure medication before using Versed.
 
Sleep Medications
Combining a sleep medication with Versed can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may occur. Make sure your healthcare provider or anesthesiologist is aware that you are taking a sleep medication before using Versed.
