Drug Interactions With Zolpidem Oral Spray

Protease inhibitors, medications that cause drowsiness, and certain antifungals may interfere with zolpidem oral spray. Some zolpidem oral spray drug interactions can increase your risk of side effects (such as memory loss, extreme drowsiness, or bizarre behavior), while others may increase or decrease the level of zolpidem in your blood.

Zolpidem Oral Spray Interactions: An Overview

Zolpidem oral spray (Zolpimist) can potentially interact with a number of other medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to drug interactions with zolpidem oral spray include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Alcohol
  • Certain antibiotics and antifungal medications, such as:

 

    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Fluconazole (Diflucan®)
    • Isoniazid
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Posaconazole (Noxafil®)
    • Rifabutin (Mycobutin®)
    • Rifampin (Rifadin®)
    • Rifapentine (Priftin®)
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®)
    • Voriconazole (Vfend®)

 

  • Medications that cause drowsiness, including, but not limited to:
